Melanie A. Tourdot started her work as a Legal Assistant at Koritzinsky & Karls, LLC in October of 1992.  She can honestly say that after all of these years, she still loves her job.

Melanie’s position is interesting, exciting, and challenging.  She works very closely with our clients on a daily basis to answer questions on eviction and collection procedures.  If Melanie is unable to answer their questions, she makes it her priority to direct their call to an attorney who can assist them.  In addition, she prepares and files eviction actions and small claims cases, drafts various correspondence, sets up payment plans with debtors, and reviews collection files.  Melanie is responsible for the firm’s accounts billable and receivable.

Melanie was nominated by Attorney Jay Koritzinsky and Attorney Nanette Karls for an Unsung Hero award presented by The Wisconsin Law Journal.  Melanie won an award for her hard work and dedication to Koritzinsky & Karls, LLC and was presented with her award at a beautiful reception in November of 2011.  The fact that her bosses took time out of their busy schedules to honor her made her feel very special.

Melanie grew up in Cross Plains, Wisconsin.  She graduated from Middleton High School in 1990, and thereafter attended Madison Area Technical College for both accounting and legal transcription.  Melanie currently lives in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin with her husband, son, and their cat, Socks.

When Melanie is not working, she loves spending time with family and friends, reading, camping, going to NASCAR races, and watching her son play soccer.

Melanie feels truly blessed to work at Koritzinsky & Karls, LLC. Each new day is filled with different questions and challenges, and she has met so many wonderful people throughout the years.  Melanie is looking forward to the next 25 years at Koritzinsky & Karls, LLC.
